Paxton joins 'Vendetta'

PaxtonBill Paxton has been cast in History's "The Hatfields and McCoys: An American Vendetta" alongside Kevin Costner.Paxton will play Randall McCoy opposite Costner's "Devil" Anse Hatfield; the scripted miniseries will be helmed by "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" director Kevin Reynolds and produced by Thinkfactory Media with Costner. "Deadwood" scribe Ted Mann writes."Hatfields and McCoys" will follow the bloody feud between the two warring families -- the McCoys in Kentucky, the Hatfields in West Virginia - who fought together in the Civil War and went from comrades-at-arms to bitter enemies.Leslie Greif serves as exec producer with Herb Nanas and Darrell Fetty producing for Thinkfactory, and History topper Nancy Dubuc and Dirk Hoogstra producing for the net.
