TV Land developing Sherri Shepherd comedy

TV Land is developing a laffer to star Sherri Shepherd round the heels of her guest arc on "Hot in Cleveland." Project can be a femme buddy comedy featuring Shepherd and her nearest friend from secondary school, that are reunited after a period apart. The friend eventually ends up helping Shepherd's character manage a weight-loss center. Christine Zander ("Nurse Jackie") and Cindy Caponera ("Shameless") are co-writing the script and may professional produce, along with Nina Wass and Shepherd. Project is specific being among three or four aircraft aircraft pilots that TV Land hopes to shoot inside the summer season, using the goal of having a completely new skein or two ready to preem later this year or possibly at the begining of 2013. Shepherd, an ordinary on ABC's daytime yakker "The Scene,In . charmed TV Land brass along with her recent guest stint round the cabler's cornerstone scripted original, "Cleveland." She's stood a recurring role on NBC's "30 Rock" lately. She also toplined a very long time laffer, "Sherri," last year. Wass and Caponera also done "Sherri."
